With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hector Yfantis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Tsambí BC's Zacharias Katsivalis got a free kick in the 8th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Manchester city's zone, Kapaneus Karnoupakis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Odysseas Nikolakopoulos came out of the goal and Kapaneus Karnoupakis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Giannis Malihoudis charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Giannis Malihoudis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Giannis Malihoudis hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. 19 minutes into the match, Tsambí BC's goal looked a bit too open when Pavlos Panayiotopoulos came free, but Hector Yfantis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 20 minutes into the game, Manolis Kosmas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Manchester city's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tsambí BC the free kick. Manolis Kosmas hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Pavlos Panayiotopoulos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hector Yfantis having to interfere. Lynkeus Horiatis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hector Yfantis having to interfere. The supporters of Manchester city booed when Tsambí BC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kyszkos Logarakis didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 42 minutes, Kaineus Lipsanos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Manchester city's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kaineus Lipsanos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Odysseas Nikolakopoulos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kapaneus Karnoupakis in the 47th minute. After the first half Manchester city were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Iosif Stamatelos kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Troizen Diplarakos took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 53rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Odysseas Nikolakopoulos. Manchester city's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 53rd minute, Manolis Kosmas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Odysseas Nikolakopoulos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kapaneus Karnoupakis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tsambí BC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Troizen Diplarakos in the 59th minute. Peneios Rachiotis charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Peneios Rachiotis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Peneios Rachiotis hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. 65 minutes into the game, Manolis Kosmas recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Hector Yfantis. Manolis Kosmas showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. Pavlos Panayiotopoulos might have been able to make a better finish in the 70th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hector Yfantis. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pavlos Panayiotopoulos ran back to his position shaking his head. 75 minutes into the game, Tsambí BC's Kapaneus Karnoupakis nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Odysseas Nikolakopoulos made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Odysseas Nikolakopoulos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kapaneus Karnoupakis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Aigis Mandrapilias's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Odysseas Nikolakopoulos was relentless in the 83rd minute of the game. Kapaneus Karnoupakis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Odysseas Nikolakopoulos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kapaneus Karnoupakis in the 85th minute of play. Manchester city's Manolis Kosmas got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
