Spectators: 7510 (Terracing: 5900, Seating: 1510, VIP seats: 100) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Dardanos Papoutsis started the match with the kick off. After 5 minutes of play, Karavostásis BC's Cristo Martino made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Toni Lozano was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Karavostásis BC getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Pau Broche hit a great ball. Toni Lozano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristo Martino in the 16th minute of play. After a rather tough play, SL Benfica's Lykomedes Egonidis got a free kick in the 17th minute. When Karavostásis BC's Cristo Martino in the 18th minute got a chance for a shot 18th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SL Benfica's goalie prevented a goal. Toni Lozano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristo Martino in the 21st minute of play. After some careless play in the SL Benfica defense, Eteokles Mitsinikos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Toni Lozano. The SL Benfica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Toni Lozano should have stopped the shot. The corner ended in Lynkeus Galitsis almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but SL Benfica's Toni Lozano did a great save. In the 28th minute, Giorgos Papastavrou ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Toni Lozano was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. 30 minutes into the match, Lynkeus Galitsis notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of SL Benfica's Toni Lozano. Toni Lozano was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Toni Lozano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joaquim Guimarães in the 33rd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Cristo Martino managed to get in a good position for a shot. Karavostásis BC's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristo Martino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Toni Lozano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 42nd minute, Glaukos Calpis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 46 minutes into the game, Karavostásis BC's Cristo Martino nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Toni Lozano made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. The SL Benfica players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Karavostásis BC were winning 0-5.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cristo Martino to make the kick off. Thanks to some nice moves Cristo Martino could shoot a difficult shot in the 51st minute, which Toni Lozano however easily saved by the left post. In the 53rd minute, Lynkeus Galitsis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Toni Lozano was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-6. Eteokles Mitsinikos kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Cristo Martino scored 0-7 in the 60th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Toni Lozano, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Toni Lozano was out of position in the 64 minute of play, and Joaquim Guimarães capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Joaquim Guimarães really showed his touch with that goal: 0-8. Selçuk Eldem made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dardanos Papoutsis in the 73rd minute of play. With a little luck, SL Benfica's Toni Lozano got control of the ball when Eteokles Mitsinikos tried to sneak it across the goal line. Eteokles Mitsinikos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Toni Lozano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Karavostásis BC's Selçuk Eldem played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dardanos Papoutsis in the 87th minute of play. 89 minutes into the game, Cristo Martino cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-9. Toni Lozano was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 96th minute of the match Karavostásis BC got a corner. SL Benfica's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Lynkeus Galitsis ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Cristo Martino got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Toni Lozano quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 96 minutes into the game, Dardanos Papoutsis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SL Benfica's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Karavostásis BC the free kick. The SL Benfica fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Karavostásis BC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
