Dardanos Papageorge kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, SL Benfica's Dardanos Papoutsis tried to score from far away in the 4th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The throw-in from Dardanos Papageorge in the 12th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by SL Benfica's Dardanos Papoutsis. Leukothoe Forakis came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by SL Benfica's Dardanos Papoutsis. But to his dismay, Dardanos Papoutsis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dardanos Papoutsis got free with Leukothoe Forakis in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Leukothoe Forakis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Thanasis Panayiotopoulos in the 21st minute. Ptolemeos Garofalis hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dardanos Papoutsis in the 25th minute of play forced Anorthosis Famagusta FC's goalkeeper Leukothoe Forakis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leukothoe Forakis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vaggelis Totolos, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Leukothoe Forakis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dardanos Papoutsis in the 27th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Thanasis Panayiotopoulos got free with Leukothoe Forakis in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 29thth minute of the game Vaggelis Totolos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Anorthosis Famagusta FC's Leukothoe Forakis was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Anorthosis Famagusta FC's Leukothoe Forakis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aglauros Koutsoubos in the 30th minute of play. With his leg Leukothoe Forakis managed to avoid a goal in the 34thth minute, when SL Benfica's Dardanos Papoutsis fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 35 minutes into the match, Anorthosis Famagusta FC's goal looked a bit too open when Dardanos Papoutsis came free, but Leukothoe Forakis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 36th minute, SL Benfica's Vaggelis Totolos dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. With a little luck, Anorthosis Famagusta FC's Leukothoe Forakis got control of the ball when Lykomedes Egonidis tried to sneak it across the goal line. Iakobos Saatsakis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Toni Lozano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hyllos Garofalis kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Iakobos Saatsakis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Anorthosis Famagusta FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Iakobos Saatsakis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Toni Lozano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Iakobos Saatsakis to make the kick off. Dardanos Papoutsis scored 4-0 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Leukothoe Forakis, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Leukothoe Forakis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dardanos Papoutsis in the 59th minute of play. Leukothoe Forakis came out of the goal in the 60th minute to try and stop a shot by SL Benfica's Vaggelis Totolos. But to his dismay, Vaggelis Totolos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. Leukothoe Forakis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thanasis Panayiotopoulos in the 63rd minute of the match. After 69 minutes of play, SL Benfica's Dardanos Papoutsis made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Leukothoe Forakis was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpected shot in the 75th minute by Agix Barraboutis got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Leukothoe Forakis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vaggelis Totolos in the 76th minute of the match. Dardanos Papoutsis took the ball and in the 78 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Leukothoe Forakis. Leukothoe Forakis dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-0. After 81 played minutes Anorthosis Famagusta FC got a freekick which was hit by Iakobos Saatsakis. Thanos Christou kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Leukothoe Forakis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dardanos Papoutsis in the 87th minute of the match. Iakobos Saatsakis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dardanos Papoutsis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Leukothoe Forakis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 93rd minute, Vaggelis Totolos left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SL Benfica fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 8-0. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. SL Benfica had played much better football throughout.
