Nessos Kyriakoulopoulos acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 18th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Gary Neville. When the match clock showed 29 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Pipo Inzaghi sped through Portokalis Korazinos's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Nessos Kyriakoulopoulos. Orthros Antonopoulos acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 66th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Nessos Vlachos. With a little luck, Nea Salamis's Orthros Antonopoulos got control of the ball when Aktaion Spiridakou tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 68 minutes Nea Salamis's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Aktaion Spiridakou who took care of the corner kick. Kaineus Rigatos kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. 74 minutes into the match, Pipo Inzaghi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nessos Kyriakoulopoulos. Portokalis Korazinos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pipo Inzaghi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. Nea Salamis's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
