Spectators: 9195 (Terracing: 6898, Seating: 2114, VIP seats: 183) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Antonio De Messemaecker made the kick off which started today's match. A collision led to FC Koutourou getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Kolkhis Makrodimitris hit a great ball. 7 minutes into the game, Panathinaikos f.c's Antonio De Messemaecker nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Renos Stathopoulos made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Panathinaikos f.c's Edgar Rahne played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kolkhis Makrodimitris in the 10th minute of play. After 14 played minutes FC Koutourou got a freekick which was hit by Likymnios Skouzas. When Aias Adamidis came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the FC Koutourou fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aias Adamidis couldn't finish the play. After 23 minutes of play, Panathinaikos f.c's Kyszkos Phocas made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Renos Stathopoulos was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 27thth minute of the game Antonio De Messemaecker who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Koutourou's Renos Stathopoulos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in FC Koutourou's zone, Nikos Nikolaou stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Renos Stathopoulos came out of the goal and Nikos Nikolaou tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kolkhis Makrodimitris hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Kyszkos Phocas took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Renos Stathopoulos. Renos Stathopoulos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Antonio De Messemaecker in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Renos Stathopoulos saved FC Koutourou from getting behind. Kyszkos Phocas charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kyszkos Phocas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Panathinaikos f.c getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Kyszkos Phocas hit a great ball. Renos Stathopoulos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antonio De Messemaecker, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kolkhis Makrodimitris stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 50 minutes into the game, Aias Adamidis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Koutourou's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Panathinaikos f.c the free kick. After 50 played minutes FC Koutourou got a freekick which was hit by Aias Adamidis. Antonio De Messemaecker could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Renos Stathopoulos made a huge save. Kyszkos Phocas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 54 minutes, Akhilleus Tsahalis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Koutourou and the Panathinaikos f.c players grew even worse after the yellow card. Akhilleus Tsahalis kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. If Antonio De Messemaecker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Antonio De Messemaecker received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Renos Stathopoulos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Antonio De Messemaecker sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 69 minutes of play, Panathinaikos f.c's Antonio De Messemaecker made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Renos Stathopoulos was left in no man's land by his defense there! Kyszkos Phocas scored 0-6 in the 73rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Renos Stathopoulos, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Musios Soukis kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. In the 78th minute, Kolkhis Makrodimitris hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Antonio De Messemaecker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antonio De Messemaecker in the 83rd minute of play forced FC Koutourou's goalkeeper Renos Stathopoulos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Antonio De Messemaecker kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Renos Stathopoulos. That made the score 0-7 in the 84 minute of play. Antonio De Messemaecker blasted a shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Renos Stathopoulos having to make a save. 88 minutes into the match, FC Koutourou's goalkeeper Renos Stathopoulos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Antonio De Messemaecker. 89 minutes into the match, Antonio De Messemaecker dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Renos Stathopoulos, 0-8. The FC Koutourou fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Panathinaikos f.c were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
