Iraklis Gerolakkou FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Fotis Karkampasis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Glaukos Sarantopoulos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Glaukos Sarantopoulos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fotis Karkampasis in the 9th minute of the match. Tassos Kefalas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xanthos Angelis, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. With a little luck, Berzés FC's Glaukos Sarantopoulos got control of the ball when Fotis Karkampasis tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jackie Chan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Glaukos Sarantopoulos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Berzés FC's Xanthos Angelis got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Jackie Chan made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Dobromil Lindner ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Glaukos Sarantopoulos was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. After some careless play in the Berzés FC defense, Dobromil Lindner kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Glaukos Sarantopoulos. The Berzés FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Glaukos Sarantopoulos should have stopped the shot. In the 64th minute, Dobromil Lindner made a precise shot to the right of Glaukos Sarantopoulos. Berzés FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-0. The audience was convinced that Dobromil Lindner's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Glaukos Sarantopoulos was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. Glaukos Sarantopoulos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jackie Chan in the 68th minute of play. After 72nd play minutes Dobromil Lindner shot 8-0, a short shot which went by Glaukos Sarantopoulos and just under the crossbar into goal. After a defensive mix-up in Iraklis Gerolakkou FC's zone, Sakis Laganas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tassos Kefalas came out of the goal and Sakis Laganas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 80 minutes of play, Iraklis Gerolakkou FC's Jackie Chan made it 9-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Glaukos Sarantopoulos was left in no man's land by his defense there! Berzés FC's Glaukos Sarantopoulos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dobromil Lindner in the 84th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sílvio Luís de Salles in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Glaukos Sarantopoulos saved Berzés FC from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fotis Karkampasis in the 87th minute of play forced Berzés FC's goalkeeper Glaukos Sarantopoulos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Berzés FC defense, Dobromil Lindner kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Glaukos Sarantopoulos. The Berzés FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Glaukos Sarantopoulos should have stopped the shot. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind Berzés FC's goalkeeper Glaukos Sarantopoulos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the referee ended the match the Iraklis Gerolakkou FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
