Spectators: 7521 (Terracing: 5680, Seating: 1741, VIP seats: 100) 4 minutes into the game, FC Stozher's Slavcho Svilarski nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Zhecho Taralanski made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Zhecho Taralanski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Slavcho Svilarski in the 9th minute of play. FC Stozher's Slavcho Svilarski got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 15th minute Mavrudi Topuzliev shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zhecho Taralanski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of FC Stozher booed when ФК Дунав Русе was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gavril Gramatikov didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 17th minute of the game. One of ФК Дунав Русе:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of FC Stozher:s goal. Zhecho Taralanski went to the wrong direction when Doncho Klashnov was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. FC Stozher's Slavcho Svilarski got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dobromir Dobrilov during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 29 played minutes ФК Дунав Русе got a freekick which was hit by Evrosi Stoychevski. The audience was convinced that Mavrudi Topuzliev's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Zhecho Taralanski was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. When Evrosi Stoychevski fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ФК Дунав Русе's protests and gave Evrosi Stoychevski a yellow card for diving instead. In the 34th minute, Evrosi Stoychevski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mavrudi Topuzliev sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 39 minutes into the game, Slavcho Svilarski cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Zhecho Taralanski was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 46th minute Stamen Marekov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lulcho Velkovski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, FC Stozher's Lyubcho Stepanov got a free kick in the 48th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Genko Tahchiev got free with Lulcho Velkovski in the 49th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Slavcho Svilarski made a kick off. If Mavrudi Topuzliev had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Lyubcho Stepanov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in ФК Дунав Русе's zone, Slavcho Svilarski stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zhecho Taralanski came out of the goal and Slavcho Svilarski tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Slavcho Svilarski in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zhecho Taralanski prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 61st minute, Genko Tahchiev got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 66 played minutes, ФК Дунав Русе's Violet Karabashev shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Lulcho Velkovski came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in ФК Дунав Русе reached it. Lulcho Velkovski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Genko Tahchiev, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. When Evrosi Stoychevski was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 84 minutes had been played. Evrosi Stoychevski kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, ФК Дунав Русе's Tinko Pisanov got a free kick in the 90th minute. Mavrudi Topuzliev recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Stozher's goalkeeper Lulcho Velkovski, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Genko Tahchiev came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the ФК Дунав Русе fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Genko Tahchiev couldn't finish the play. FC Stozher's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
