In the 19th minute, FC Stozher's Mavrudi Topuzliev dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. In the 41st minute Mavrudi Topuzliev shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zhecho Taralanski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zhelyazko Leonidov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zhecho Taralanski having to interfere. After 47 minutes, Violet Karabashev mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ФК Дунав Русе and the FC Stozher players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 47 played minutes ФК Дунав Русе got a freekick which was hit by Violet Karabashev. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

56 minutes into the match, ФК Дунав Русе's goal looked a bit too open when Zhelyazko Leonidov came free, but Zhecho Taralanski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in FC Stozher's zone, Stamen Marekov stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lulcho Velkovski came out of the goal and Stamen Marekov tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lulcho Velkovski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stamen Marekov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lulcho Velkovski made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Genko Tahchiev sent off a good shot on target. If Stamen Marekov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 68th minute, Genko Tahchiev got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. ФК Дунав Русе's Stamen Marekov was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 74th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. In the 80th match minute, FC Stozher was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Svetoslav Staynov to maneuver through the defense. In the 82nd minute, Genko Tahchiev got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Zhecho Taralanski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mavrudi Topuzliev in the 86th minute of play. 89 minutes into the match, FC Stozher's Zhelyazko Leonidov sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Zhecho Taralanski narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Zhelyazko Leonidov came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the FC Stozher fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zhelyazko Leonidov couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Evrosi Stoychevski during the 96th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. FC Stozher's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
