The audience thought a goal was coming when Anton Mihov got free with Zahari Pisanov in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. CSKA Rovina's Bozhin Ramchev pulled a muscle in his leg after 38 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Stoyne Kadiev's late challenge caught a CSKA Rovina's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Stoyne Kadiev helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Ruskovtsu's Stoyne Kadiev got a free kick in the 39th minute. Tzvetan Hrisimov was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 41 minutes into the match. In the 41st minute, Tzvetan Hrisimov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Anton Mihov during the 44th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Ruskovtsu booed when CSKA Rovina was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Ruskovtsu's supporters rose to their feet, but Danail Mustakov was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. CSKA Rovina's Slavey Kúrkov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Velizar Titev in the 60th minute of play. CSKA Rovina's Slavey Kúrkov proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save CSKA Rovina from getting a goal against them. After 65 played minutes CSKA Rovina got a freekick which was hit by Anton Mihov. Slavey Kúrkov made an important save on a dangerous shot by Orlin Parpulov in the 68th minute. 77 minutes into the game, Ruskovtsu's Danail Mustakov nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Slavey Kúrkov made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. When Danail Mustakov came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Ruskovtsu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Danail Mustakov couldn't finish the play. In the 84th minute, Svetozar Gospodinov got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Ruskovtsu getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Stoyne Kadiev hit a great ball. Velizar Titev made in the 94th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Orlin Parpulov.
