Spectators: 8468 (Terracing: 6352, Seating: 1947, VIP seats: 169) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when İlbey Denizalp kicked off to start the match. Evgeni Noshtev came out of the goal in the 2nd minute to try and stop a shot by EK's Yancho Traychev. But to his dismay, Yancho Traychev quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Evgeni Noshtev took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from İlbey Denizalp, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aleko Ogoyski in the 9th minute of play forced EK's goalkeeper Denimir Bebin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to EK getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. İlbey Denizalp hit a great ball. Denimir Bebin made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Aleko Ogoyski sent off a good shot on target. Evgeni Noshtev made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from İlbey Denizalp in the 13th minute of play. After 17 played minutes ISKAR got a freekick which was hit by Dragolyub Bidzhov. Evgeni Noshtev made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cido Fernandez in the 27th minute of play. With an all-out effort, ISKAR's Denimir Bebin threw himself towards the right post 28 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Dragolyub Bidzhov, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Cido Fernandez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Evgeni Noshtev tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Evgeni Noshtev took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yancho Traychev, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half EK were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 53rd minute Dragolyub Bidzhov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Denimir Bebin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. ISKAR's Evgeni Noshtev played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yancho Traychev in the 55th minute of play. Evgeni Noshtev stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of İlbey Denizalp's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. Evgeni Noshtev made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when İlbey Denizalp sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of ISKAR booed when EK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tekin Ergalip didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Evrosi Manchorov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 65 played minutes ISKAR got a freekick which was hit by Evrosi Manchorov. Evgeni Noshtev made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Cido Fernandez sent off a good shot on target. Evgeni Noshtev took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from İlbey Denizalp, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dragolyub Bidzhov might have been able to make a better finish in the 71st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Denimir Bebin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Denimir Bebin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aleko Ogoyski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 76th minute of the match EK got a corner. ISKAR's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Lyuboslav Zanev ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 78th minute Aleko Ogoyski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Denimir Bebin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 87th minute, EK's Yancho Traychev dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-2. Aleko Ogoyski recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The EK supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing EK would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
