Enmanuel Marrodan might have been able to make a better finish in the 6th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Totyo Popisakov. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Enmanuel Marrodan ran back to his position shaking his head. Totyo Popisakov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Enmanuel Marrodan, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. 8 minutes into the match, Diamandovo's Enmanuel Marrodan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Totyo Popisakov narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Einar Hjortberg thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Totyo Popisakov, a very annoying self made goal in the 10th minute which led to 0-1. Totyo Popisakov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Enmanuel Marrodan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Diamandovo were awarded a corner in the 14th minute after Crusaders of Dark's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Gencho Kortov took the corner. Totyo Popisakov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enmanuel Marrodan in the 15th minute of play. 17 minutes into the match, Diamandovo's goal looked a bit too open when Dimitar Berbatov came free, but Przemyslaw Mochadlo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 18 minutes in the game Eivind Lundemo did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Dimitar Berbatov. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Enmanuel Marrodan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Diamandovo's supporters rose to their feet, but Enmanuel Marrodan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Totyo Popisakov breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 21st minute Enmanuel Marrodan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Totyo Popisakov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dimitar Berbatov could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Przemyslaw Mochadlo made a huge save. Crusaders of Dark's Totyo Popisakov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enmanuel Marrodan in the 25th minute of play. Vallo Lööper got a throw-in 28 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Dimitar Berbatov. After a defensive mix-up in Diamandovo's zone, Eligio Rojas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Przemyslaw Mochadlo came out of the goal and Eligio Rojas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind Diamandovo's goalkeeper Przemyslaw Mochadlo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 40th minute of the game Angel Totov made a throw-in which Yakim Ignev played forward. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enmanuel Marrodan in the 45th minute of play forced Crusaders of Dark's goalkeeper Totyo Popisakov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Dimitar Berbatov made the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute Dimitar Berbatov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Przemyslaw Mochadlo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Diamandovo's Angel Totov got a free kick in the 64th minute. Diamandovo's Przemyslaw Mochadlo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dimitar Berbatov in the 67th minute of play. The referee showed Angel Totov the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 89th match minute, Diamandovo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Angel Totov to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Crusaders of Dark getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Eligio Rojas hit a great ball. Dimitar Berbatov recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Diamandovo supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Diamandovo would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
