But to his dismay, Kıvanç Mertkal quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Tzanyo Chonkov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tzanyo Barbutski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 16thth minute of the game Dinu Potra who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Old Dogs United's Tzanyo Chonkov was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match had gone on for 16 minutes, Dinu Potra put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Tzanyo Chonkov. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gerardo Oskitz got free with Erdi Bender in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gerardo Oskitzs short, quick shot in the 24thth minute got Erdi Bender to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 25th minute FC Old Dogs United were awarded a corner. Czeslaw Mios went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner went over the outstretched arms of DELUX's goalie and right to Veliko Kashukeev. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. DELUX's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. If Antoni Kirliev had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. DELUX's Erdi Bender played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Veliko Kashukeev in the 30th minute of play. With a little luck, DELUX's Erdi Bender got control of the ball when Miho Kabakchiev tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 36th minute Gerardo Oskitz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erdi Bender saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Despite this Tzanyo Chonkov quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The FC Old Dogs United players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. DELUX were winning 0-2.

The FC Old Dogs United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tzanyo Chonkov should have stopped the shot. Herbert Kaszubowski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
