The Erzin fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ata Yergin should have stopped the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lewis Gillow during the 12th minute. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Cengelköy SK's Gareth Brock in the 34th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Ata Yergin was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Erzin through an amazing save. Güven Sanal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Sercan Kabakçı didn't miss a given chance and shot in short distance 1-1 via right post in the game's 52nd minute. Erzin's supporters showed their exhuberating excitement! Güven Sanal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ata Yergin having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Cengelköy SK's Refik Halit Usal got a free kick in the 70th minute. The Erzin fans' excitement grew in the 76th match minute when Erzin's Sercan Kabakçı looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Musa Adıyaman kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Sercan Kabakçı could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Ali Kağan Ülgen made a huge save. When Vedat Pekdeger fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Erzin's protests and gave Vedat Pekdeger a yellow card for diving instead. In the 84th match minute, Erzin was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vedat Pekdeger to maneuver through the defense. Ali Kağan Ülgen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Erzin.
