Abdi Kose recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hüsamettin Selçuk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Fikret Borlu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nafiz Demircan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Iznik SK's Fikret Borlu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bahadırhan Uzay in the 8th minute of play. Fikret Borlu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hüsamettin Selçuk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. KARATAŞ FC's Doruk Poyraz was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Fikret Borlu in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Adam Vorobeľ struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Fikret Borlu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for KARATAŞ FC. Fikret Borlu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hüsamettin Selçuk in the 19th minute of play. Abdi Kose sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 24 minutes into the game, KARATAŞ FC's Hüsamettin Selçuk nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fikret Borlu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Doruk Poyraz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Iznik SK's zone, Hüsamettin Selçuk stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fikret Borlu came out of the goal and Hüsamettin Selçuk tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to KARATAŞ FC getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Dráuzio Lima hit a great ball. Iznik SK's Fikret Borlu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abdi Kose in the 36th minute of play. Doruk Poyraz's late challenge caught a Iznik SK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Doruk Poyraz helped the player get up and apologised. After some careless play in the Iznik SK defense, Doruk Poyraz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fikret Borlu. The Iznik SK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fikret Borlu should have stopped the shot. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hüsamettin Selçuk made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Hüsamettin Selçuk managed to get in a good position for a shot. KARATAŞ FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Hüsamettin Selçuk was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fikret Borlu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Nafiz Demircan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 62nd minute, Zühtü İldemir hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hüsamettin Selçuk got free with Fikret Borlu in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Hüsamettin Selçuk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Fikret Borlu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 78th minute, Doruk Poyraz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 79 minutes into the match, KARATAŞ FC's goal looked a bit too open when Altan Kayaer came free, but Alvar Gerdberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fikret Borlu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hüsamettin Selçuk, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Ali Emir Sefaaddin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fikret Borlu having to interfere. After having played for 82 minutes, Hüsamettin Selçuk managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. KARATAŞ FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hüsamettin Selçuk was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 87th minute, Zühtü İldemir hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hüsamettin Selçuk was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 90th minute. KARATAŞ FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hüsamettin Selçuk in the 96th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fikret Borlu saved Iznik SK from getting behind.
