Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Gürkan Haymanalı started the match with the kick off. Mehmet Emrah Bucak took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yavuz Selimhan Devlettin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 5 minutes of play, Genc JK's Ergün Oyanalp made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mehmet Emrah Bucak was left in no man's land by his defense there! 21 minutes into the game, Ünal Çaykara recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Mehmet Emrah Bucak. Ünal Çaykara showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. After 26 minutes, Ünal Çaykara mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Genc JK and the Celta de Vigo players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Genc JK's Ünal Çaykara got a free kick in the 26th minute. Rıdvan Arıkhan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gürkan Haymanalı took the ball and in the 34 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ekber Tulunay. Ekber Tulunay dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. After a defensive mix-up in Genc JK's zone, Gürcan Özaltuğ stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ekber Tulunay came out of the goal and Gürcan Özaltuğ tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Celta de Vigo booed when Genc JK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. İnanç Yurday didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Gürcan Özaltuğ came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Celta de Vigo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gürcan Özaltuğ couldn't finish the play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Yavuz Selimhan Devlettin to make the kick off. In the 55th minute, Ünal Çaykara made a precise shot to the right of Mehmet Emrah Bucak. Celta de Vigo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. In the 58th minute, Ekrem Özkaya hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind Genc JK's goalkeeper Ekber Tulunay, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 60 minutes into the match, Genc JK's goal looked a bit too open when Gürcan Özaltuğ came free, but Ekber Tulunay reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 62nd minute, Gürkan Haymanalı ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ekber Tulunay was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. 66 minutes into the game, İnanç Yurday was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Genc JK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Celta de Vigo the free kick. After a rather tough play, Genc JK's İnanç Yurday got a free kick in the 66th minute. In the 67th minute of the match Gürkan Haymanalı shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ekber Tulunay showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Gürkan Haymanalı could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Ekber Tulunay made a huge save. After 78 minutes of play Genc JK's İnanç Yurday was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. İnanç Yurday hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Gürkan Haymanalı took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 79th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ekber Tulunay. Genc JK's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 81 minutes into the game, Celta de Vigo's Gürkan Haymanalı nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ekber Tulunay made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-3. Genc JK's Ekber Tulunay played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gürcan Özaltuğ in the 87th minute of play. Genc JK's Ünal Çaykara got his second yellow card of the match in the 88th minute. The referee ordered Ünal Çaykara off the ground. Ünal Çaykara hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match.
