Gaski's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Köprübasi the free kick. The supporters of Gaski booed when Köprübasi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mustafa Necati İstanbul didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 61 minutes, Dilaver Ulualp managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. When Abdülhak Baray came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Köprübasi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abdülhak Baray couldn't finish the play. Ahmet Orhan Kabataş charged in rather forcefully in the 66th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Yaman Oncubay showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abdülhak Baray in the 72nd minute of the match. Yaman Oncubay dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Köprübasi's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
