Serdar Başdemir fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lokman Sungurbay having to interfere. Lokman Sungurbay showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kıraç Öksal in the 36th minute of the match. When Yıldıray Özgan fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Beylerbeyi FK's protests and gave Yıldıray Özgan a yellow card for diving instead. Yıldıray Özgan hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. If Yasin Mesut had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Lokman Sungurbay showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Görkem Yalman, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute.
