The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Merih Aksoy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mahir Öktemer lost his temper 26 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 26th minute of the game. One of Gündogmus:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Galerya FK:s goal. Hamdullah Hünerli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Merih Aksoy was the one to do the kick off.
