Seyfi Canol started the match with the kick off. Can Cire sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Aybars Türkol came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Sokrates fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aybars Türkol couldn't finish the play. 16 minutes into the match, Datca's goal looked a bit too open when Aybars Türkol came free, but Ilgaz Sanay reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 17 played minutes Datca got a freekick which was hit by Arda Semin. Hasan Can Yanaç shot from long distance in the 18th minute, but Ilgaz Sanay was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. In the 20th minute, Doruk Kırgız hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Erdi Ergüner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 40th minute of the match Hasan Can Yanaç sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ilgaz Sanay skillfully saved the ball. Ilgaz Sanay showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aybars Türkol, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Aybars Türkol stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Sokrates's zone, Doruk Kırgız stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Murat Güngör came out of the goal and Doruk Kırgız tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Datca were awarded a corner in the 55th minute after Sokrates's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ahmet Bülent Cömert took the corner. If Aybars Türkol had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ilgaz Sanay came out of the goal in the 60th minute to try and stop a shot by Sokrates's Erdi Ergüner. But to his dismay, Erdi Ergüner quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. A collision led to Sokrates getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Vahdet Özyuva hit a great ball. When Datca's Seyfi Canol in the 66th minute got a chance for a shot 66th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sokrates's goalie prevented a goal. Ilgaz Sanay didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Aybars Türkol went, in the 68th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Murat Güngör made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Can Cire sent off a good shot on target. In the 73rd match minute, Sokrates was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Necmi Uğursoy to maneuver through the defense. After 75 played minutes Sokrates got a freekick which was hit by Ünsal Talayhan. Murat Güngör showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Seyfi Canol, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. When Can Cire fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Datca's protests and gave Can Cire a yellow card for diving instead. Can Cire struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Murat Güngör didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Datca. When Arda Semin fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Datca's protests and gave Arda Semin a yellow card for diving instead. In the 87th minute, Arda Semin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 91st minute, Necmi Uğursoy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Seyfi Canol in the 94th minute of play forced Sokrates's goalkeeper Murat Güngör to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Sokrates fans cheered their team off the field, for while Datca had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
