After some careless play in the Gökceada JK defense, Arman Çinuçin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Şenol Bartu. The Gökceada JK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Şenol Bartu should have stopped the shot. Alsancak's Erkin Uygu got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Erkin Uygu got free with Şenol Bartu in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Behzat Uran took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ali Baran Vecdi. Ali Baran Vecdi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Mehmet Arif Oncubay took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 23rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ali Baran Vecdi. Alsancak's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Esen Yay's late challenge caught a Alsancak's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Esen Yay helped the player get up and apologised. Esen Yay hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. After 31 minutes, Erdoğan Orhan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Alsancak and the Gökceada JK players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ali Baran Vecdi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Selahaddin Namal in the 38th minute of play. 39 minutes into the match, Gökceada JK's Behzat Uran sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ali Baran Vecdi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Selahaddin Namal came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Gökceada JK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Selahaddin Namal couldn't finish the play. Selahaddin Namal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ali Baran Vecdi having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Alsancak's Ali Baran Vecdi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Alsancak from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Gökceada JK booed when Alsancak was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Korcan Tekin didn't get a good kick on the ball.
