Sürmene SK's supporters rose to their feet, but Gökcan Cengel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Çağdaş Sadun breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Behçet Satıbey during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 16th minute, Behçet Satıbey hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sürmene SK's Şansal Toregün got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 19th minute, Ali Nejat Saykut left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Haymana Ateşi fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gökcan Cengel in the 23rd minute of play forced Haymana Ateşi's goalkeeper Çağdaş Sadun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 25th minute, Ali Asım Demirel reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Doğuş Uruk. The goal made the score 2-0. After a defensive mix-up in Sürmene SK's zone, Ali Nejat Saykut stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Doğuş Uruk came out of the goal and Ali Nejat Saykut tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Ali Nejat Saykut had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Doğuş Uruk was out of position in the 39 minute of play, and Ali Asım Demirel capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ali Asım Demirel really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. In the 47th minute, Şansal Toregün got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The supporters of Haymana Ateşi booed when Sürmene SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Özen Ongut didn't get a good kick on the ball. 82 minutes into the match, Haymana Ateşi's goal looked a bit too open when Şansal Toregün came free, but Çağdaş Sadun reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Şansal Toregün had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
