The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, BeşiktAŞK's goal looked a bit too open when Hakkı Onur İlkser came free, but Abdurrahim Ağca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 5 minutes, Celalettin Kotuz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bedir and the BeşiktAŞK players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 5 played minutes Bedir got a freekick which was hit by Celalettin Kotuz. 6 minutes into the match, BeşiktAŞK's Alphan Ilıcan broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. If Hakkı Onur İlkser had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 13th play minute Rüştü Sabahaddin came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Kuddusî Mertkan. 1-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mithat Öztaş in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Abdurrahim Ağca prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Kuddusî Mertkan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ahmet Refik İncili, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Yaser Eryildiz charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Yaser Eryildiz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Yaser Eryildiz kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, Bedir's Derman Kırman tried to score from far away in the 20th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Ahmet Refik İncili sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 31st minute Ahmet Refik İncili shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kuddusî Mertkan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Abdurrahim Ağca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hakkı Onur İlkser, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. After a rather tough play, BeşiktAŞK's Tekin Şıran got a free kick in the 37th minute. Mithat Öztaş received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Abdurrahim Ağca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 40 minutes into the match, BeşiktAŞK's goal looked a bit too open when Hakkı Onur İlkser came free, but Abdurrahim Ağca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hakkı Onur İlkser in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Abdurrahim Ağca saved BeşiktAŞK from getting behind. A collision led to BeşiktAŞK getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Tekin Şıran hit a great ball. In the 43rd minute Mithat Öztaş shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abdurrahim Ağca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mithat Öztaş struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Abdurrahim Ağca didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bedir. The audience was convinced that Hakkı Onur İlkser's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Abdurrahim Ağca was relentless in the 46th minute of the game. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ahmet Refik İncili to strike the kick off in the second half. Mithat Öztaş received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Abdurrahim Ağca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Abdurrahim Ağca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hakkı Onur İlkser, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Celalettin Kotuz got free with Abdurrahim Ağca in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Hakkı Onur İlkser came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Bedir fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hakkı Onur İlkser couldn't finish the play. Hakkı Onur İlkser recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hakkı Onur İlkser hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 77th minute of the game. One of Bedir:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of BeşiktAŞK:s goal. In the 80th minute there was a penalty for BeşiktAŞK. Alphan Ilıcan stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Kuddusî Mertkan. 2-0. BeşiktAŞK's Abdurrahim Ağca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hakkı Onur İlkser in the 84th minute of play. Celalettin Kotuz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to BeşiktAŞK getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Baturay Uzcan hit a great ball. Mithat Öztaş fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 99th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abdurrahim Ağca having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the Bedir players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for BeşiktAŞK.
