The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th match minute, Akyurt SK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hıncal Umut to maneuver through the defense. In the 10th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ahirli's goalkeeper Güral Reşit, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Güral Reşit made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hıncal Umut in the 14th minute of play. 16 minutes into the match, Akyurt SK's goalkeeper Yetkiner Honazlı had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Esat Şenaltan. Hıncal Umut sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Ahirli getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Agah Kutlubay hit a great ball. If Hıncal Umut had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hıncal Umut fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Güral Reşit having to interfere. İhsan Ural sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Akyurt SK booed when Ahirli was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Agah Kutlubay didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ahirli's Güral Reşit played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by İhsan Ural in the 44th minute of play. When Hıncal Umut came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the Akyurt SK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hıncal Umut couldn't finish the play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hıncal Umut stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Hıncal Umut fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Güral Reşit having to interfere. Güral Reşit showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hıncal Umut in the 59th minute of the match. If Tansel Onursev had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Ahirli booed when Akyurt SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arda Babaoğlu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Akyurt SK's Yetkiner Honazlı played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tansel Onursev in the 72nd minute of play. Esat Şenaltan struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Yetkiner Honazlı didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ahirli. If İhsan Ural had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Güral Reşit showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hıncal Umut in the 89th minute of the match. Cüneyt Sebukalp charged in rather forcefully in the 92nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cüneyt Sebukalp the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Cüneyt Sebukalp hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Güral Reşit showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hıncal Umut in the 96th minute of the match. Ahmet Ege Ensar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 100th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ahirli succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Akyurt SK had controlled the match.
