Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. In the 6th minute Gazi Sina shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baki Kapkin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 14 played minutes Göztepe S.K got a freekick which was hit by Gazi Sina. Ecevit Reis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. İldeniz Tecik tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. İldeniz Tecik took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aytunç Öz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Aytunç Öz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but İldeniz Tecik was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. 25 minutes into the match, Niğde SK's goal looked a bit too open when Gazi Sina came free, but Baki Kapkin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Göztepe S.K's İldeniz Tecik played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aytunç Öz in the 27th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The wind increased when Aytunç Öz made the kick off in the second half. After 52 played minutes Niğde SK got a freekick which was hit by Ecevit Reis. When Ecevit Reis came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Niğde SK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ecevit Reis couldn't finish the play. In the 57thth minute of the game Aytunç Öz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Göztepe S.K's İldeniz Tecik was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a little luck, Göztepe S.K's İldeniz Tecik got control of the ball when Ecevit Reis tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 60th minute the ball was on its way in behind Göztepe S.K's goalkeeper İldeniz Tecik, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to Göztepe S.K getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Tekin Yiğithan hit a great ball. 68 minutes into the match, Göztepe S.K's goal looked a bit too open when Aytunç Öz came free, but İldeniz Tecik reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Yaşar Nuri Uluşahin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Niğde SK's supporters rose to their feet, but Yaşar Nuri Uluşahin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. İldeniz Tecik breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aytunç Öz in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck İldeniz Tecik prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ecevit Reis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but İldeniz Tecik read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. Aytunç Öz took the ball and in the 74 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised İldeniz Tecik. İldeniz Tecik dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Aytunç Öz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without İldeniz Tecik having to interfere. In the 83rd minute, Ecevit Reis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. İldeniz Tecik came out of the goal in the 86th minute to try and stop a shot by Niğde SK's Ecevit Reis. But to his dismay, Ecevit Reis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. In the 90th minute the ball was on its way in behind Göztepe S.K's goalkeeper İldeniz Tecik, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ecevit Reis blasted a shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without İldeniz Tecik having to make a save. İldeniz Tecik showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aytunç Öz, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. After 96 minutes of play, Niğde SK's Ecevit Reis made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. İldeniz Tecik was left in no man's land by his defense there! The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Niğde SK walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
