When Şadi Mevlit fell near the penalty area in the 6th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Domanic SK's protests and gave Şadi Mevlit a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Kayseri Spor's Mahir İhya got a free kick in the 7th minute. Boran Mutlu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lütfü Akansel having to interfere. Zafer Akgüneş showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fuat Şam, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. A collision led to Kayseri Spor getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Nadir Kutlutekin hit a great ball. Mehmet Ali Muzaffer took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 23rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Lütfü Akansel. Domanic SK's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Boran Mutlu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ferdi Hiçsönmez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Zafer Akgüneş tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 36 minutes into the game, Fuat Şam was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Domanic SK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kayseri Spor the free kick. Ferdi Hiçsönmez charged in rather forcefully in the 38th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ferdi Hiçsönmez the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Mümin Dilsaz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Domanic SK defense, Mümin Dilsaz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lütfü Akansel. The Domanic SK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lütfü Akansel should have stopped the shot. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ferdi Hiçsönmez to strike the kick off in the second half. Fuat Şam fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zafer Akgüneş having to interfere. Zafer Akgüneş made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fuat Şam in the 59th minute. 61 minutes into the match, Fuat Şam notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Kayseri Spor's Zafer Akgüneş. Zafer Akgüneş was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Ferdi Hiçsönmez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 70th minute of the match, Ferdi Hiçsönmez tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Zafer Akgüneş saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 71 minutes into the match, Kayseri Spor's goalkeeper Zafer Akgüneş had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fuat Şam. In the 74th minute, Şadi Mevlit got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 76th minute, Fuat Şam ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Zafer Akgüneş was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. 81 minutes into the match, Domanic SK's goal looked a bit too open when Mümin Dilsaz came free, but Lütfü Akansel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lütfü Akansel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Boran Mutlu's shot from short distance in the 82nd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mümin Dilsaz in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lütfü Akansel saved Domanic SK from getting behind. Nadir Kutlutekin hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. The Kayseri Spor supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Domanic SK's performance. The match ended with a win for Domanic SK.
