A collision led to Genç Fener getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Timur Kayrabay hit a great ball. Genç Fener's Aktuğ Boysan shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 13th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Yağız Yeğiner but with some difficulty. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Olcay Orkun Civanbaht in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Abayhan Tanbolat saved Genç Fener from getting behind. Abayhan Tanbolat showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Utku Onursal, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Yağız Yeğiner made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Kutlu Durucan sent off a good shot on target. Habib Kadrican's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Abayhan Tanbolat read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. After some careless play in the Genç Fener defense, Olcay Orkun Civanbaht kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Abayhan Tanbolat. The Genç Fener fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Abayhan Tanbolat should have stopped the shot. Olcay Orkun Civanbaht received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Abayhan Tanbolat tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Akademi17 booed when Genç Fener was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ferhat Filiz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Yağız Yeğiner took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emran Ekincioğlu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Genç Fener defense, Habib Kadrican kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Abayhan Tanbolat. In the 44th minute the ball was on its way in behind Akademi17's goalkeeper Yağız Yeğiner, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Abayhan Tanbolat made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olcay Orkun Civanbaht in the 46th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Emran Ekincioğlu to make the kick off. After 52 played minutes Genç Fener got a freekick which was hit by Timur Kayrabay. Abayhan Tanbolat didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 54th minute, which inside left pole to 0-3. In the 57th minute, Habib Kadrican reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Abayhan Tanbolat. The goal made the score 0-4. A hard shot 60 in the game by Olcay Orkun Civanbaht from a close distance when the talented Abayhan Tanbolat managed to make a qualified save. Genç Fener's players were relieved. With his leg Abayhan Tanbolat managed to avoid a goal in the 61stth minute, when Akademi17's Olcay Orkun Civanbaht fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When Olcay Orkun Civanbaht came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Akademi17 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Olcay Orkun Civanbaht couldn't finish the play. Olcay Orkun Civanbaht received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Abayhan Tanbolat tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aykutalp Baytugay took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 80th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Abayhan Tanbolat. Genç Fener's Abayhan Tanbolat played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Olcay Orkun Civanbaht in the 86th minute of play. After having played for 88 minutes, Emran Ekincioğlu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Genç Fener's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emran Ekincioğlu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. İsmail Cem Yılkan kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Olcay Orkun Civanbaht blasted a shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Abayhan Tanbolat having to make a save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Timur Kayrabay during the 92nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 92nd match minute, Genç Fener was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Timur Kayrabay to maneuver through the defense. Abayhan Tanbolat was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Korkut Baykutay. Akademi17's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
