Spectators: 7171 (Terracing: 5380, Seating: 1649, VIP seats: 142) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Giray Helvacı got the match started through his kick off. Ali Haydar Nizam came out of the goal in the 4th minute to try and stop a shot by FenerBahçe's Altan Tublek. But to his dismay, Altan Tublek quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. When Ali Erdem Uz fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Merinos SK's protests and gave Ali Erdem Uz a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Merinos SK getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Ali Erdem Uz hit a great ball. Ünsal Üner showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Giray Helvacı, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. A hard shot 18 in the game by Edip Özgenay from a close distance when the talented Ünsal Üner managed to make a qualified save. FenerBahçe's players were relieved. After 28 played minutes FenerBahçe got a freekick which was hit by Sungurhan Harmandalı. With a little luck, FenerBahçe's Ünsal Üner got control of the ball when Edip Özgenay tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Merinos SK's Ali Çağrı Duha got a free kick in the 35th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Mehmet Ediz Uğuralp managed to get in a good position for a shot. FenerBahçe's supporters rose to their feet, but Mehmet Ediz Uğuralp was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ali Haydar Nizam breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 46 played minutes, FenerBahçe's Haluk Türkeş shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ali Haydar Nizam came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FenerBahçe reached it. Mehmet Ediz Uğuralp took the ball and in the 48 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ali Haydar Nizam. Ali Haydar Nizam dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. The Merinos SK players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. FenerBahçe were winning 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Altan Tublek was the one to do the kick off. Ali Haydar Nizam made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Altan Tublek in the 57th minute of play. 59 minutes into the match, FenerBahçe's goal looked a bit too open when Giray Helvacı came free, but Ünsal Üner reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mehmet Ediz Uğuralp sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ali Haydar Nizam took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sungurhan Harmandalı, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 67th minute Giray Helvacı shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ünsal Üner saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sungurhan Harmandalı kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. With a little luck, Merinos SK's Ali Haydar Nizam got control of the ball when Mehmet Ediz Uğuralp tried to sneak it across the goal line. Mehmet Ediz Uğuralp fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ali Haydar Nizam having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Altan Tublek in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ali Haydar Nizam saved Merinos SK from getting behind. Edip Özgenay received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Ünsal Üner tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edip Özgenay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ünsal Üner having to interfere. Merinos SK's Edip Özgenay got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ali Haydar Nizam made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Mehmet Ediz Uğuralp sent off a good shot on target. Ali Haydar Nizam showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Altan Tublek, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. The FenerBahçe players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
