The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oğuzalp Yabgu in the 16th minute of play forced GALATASARAY's goalkeeper Alpay Turatekin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alpay Turatekin was out of position in the 26 minute of play, and Oğuzalp Yabgu capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Alpay Turatekin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nafiz Sayhan in the 51st minute of play. Oğuzalp Yabgu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alpay Turatekin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nafiz Sayhan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ahmet Ozan Çağnur got free with Kubat Karaalp in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 65 minutes, Nafiz Sayhan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Anadolu Bağcılar FK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nafiz Sayhan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alpay Turatekin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oğuzalp Yabgu in the 72nd minute of the match. In the 74th minute, Nafiz Sayhan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 75 minutes, Bayezit Paşa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the GALATASARAY and the Anadolu Bağcılar FK players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 96th minute, Bahadır Akkurt reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Kubat Karaalp. The goal made the score 2-2. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
