After a rather tough play, Mkj's Arif Ozan Uğurlubey got a free kick in the 38th minute. 39 minutes into the match, Mkj's goal looked a bit too open when Şerafettin Başöz came free, but Baturalp Hızarcı reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 1-0 became the score in the 42nd minute when Şerafettin Başöz elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Tarsus SK's Muharrem İcabi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Berkan Mutluay in the 68th minute of play. Muharrem İcabi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Berkan Mutluay, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 78 minutes into the match, Mkj's Binali Vala sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Muharrem İcabi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 88th minute, Bora Han Karataş hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Berkan Mutluay blasted a shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Muharrem İcabi having to make a save. Nusrettin Ekin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Muharrem İcabi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
