The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute Süruri Ömürcan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baturalp Hızarcı saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Baturalp Hızarcı showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Şerafettin Başöz, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Şerafettin Başöz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baturalp Hızarcı having to interfere. Haldun Özata's late challenge caught a Tarsus SK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Haldun Özata helped the player get up and apologised. In the 17th match minute, Tarsus SK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ertuğrul Savgat to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Arif Ozan Uğurlubey managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mkj's supporters rose to their feet, but Arif Ozan Uğurlubey was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Muharrem İcabi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Baturalp Hızarcı showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Şerafettin Başöz in the 22nd minute of the match. Berkan Mutluay sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Muharrem İcabi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Berkan Mutluay, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 33 minutes into the match, Mkj's goal looked a bit too open when Süruri Ömürcan came free, but Baturalp Hızarcı reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nusrettin Ekin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Muharrem İcabi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Berkan Mutluay, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 42 minutes into the game, Berkan Mutluay recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Muharrem İcabi. Berkan Mutluay showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Binali Vala received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Muharrem İcabi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

A very good chance. 54 minutes into the game, Çelebi İhtiyar was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mkj's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tarsus SK the free kick. When Süruri Ömürcan came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Tarsus SK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Süruri Ömürcan couldn't finish the play. Nusrettin Ekin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Binali Vala had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 74th minute of the match, Süruri Ömürcan got a very nice opportunity to score, but Baturalp Hızarcı was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Can Ekinci kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. In the 80th minute, Berkan Mutluay ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Muharrem İcabi was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Nusrettin Ekin struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Muharrem İcabi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mkj. After a defensive mix-up in Mkj's zone, Süruri Ömürcan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Baturalp Hızarcı came out of the goal and Süruri Ömürcan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Mkj getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Binali Vala hit a great ball. Berkan Mutluay sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Mkj fully deserved thier win.
