Batı Tamkut's late challenge caught a ISTANBUL FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Batı Tamkut helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to F.C. Tuncer getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Batı Tamkut hit a great ball. Mustafa Oğuz Kunt might have been able to make a better finish in the 18th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hasan Hüseyin Filiz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mustafa Oğuz Kunt ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 18 minutes, İlbey Yoruk managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ISTANBUL FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but İlbey Yoruk was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ali Behzat Hasankeyf in the 21st minute of play forced ISTANBUL FC's goalkeeper Kuddusî Süreyya to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 22nd match minute, ISTANBUL FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Feyyaz Ünlüer to maneuver through the defense. Kuddusî Süreyya was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Ahmet Kutsi Diriğ. Ali Behzat Hasankeyf sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ali Behzat Hasankeyf struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Kuddusî Süreyya didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for F.C. Tuncer. If Behiç Gümüşsoy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ali Behzat Hasankeyf to strike the kick off in the second half. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 59th minute of the game. One of ISTANBUL FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of F.C. Tuncer:s goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sertel Onurad in the 65th minute of play forced ISTANBUL FC's goalkeeper Kuddusî Süreyya to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. İlbey Yoruk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Hasan Hüseyin Filiz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When İlbey Yoruk came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the ISTANBUL FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that İlbey Yoruk couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, F.C. Tuncer's Hasan Hüseyin Filiz got control of the ball when İlbey Yoruk tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Behiç Gümüşsoy managed to get in a good position for a shot. ISTANBUL FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Behiç Gümüşsoy was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hasan Hüseyin Filiz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ali Behzat Hasankeyf sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. İlbey Yoruk could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Hasan Hüseyin Filiz made a huge save. In the 95th match minute, ISTANBUL FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Akın Gök to maneuver through the defense. Batı Tamkut took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 96th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Kuddusî Süreyya. ISTANBUL FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line.
