Gazi Kutsalan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 16th play minute Ünsal Yorangil came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Gazi Kutsalan. 1-1. 21 minutes into the match, geribas jk's goal looked a bit too open when Gürkan Unan came free, but Erdoğan Burçak reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Erdoğan Burçak showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Halit Ziya Hanefi, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Ahmet Haşim Uzalp sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ahmet Haşim Uzalp recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match had gone on for 31 minutes, İdris Kelami put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Gazi Kutsalan. In the 34th minute, İdris Kelami reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Gazi Kutsalan. The goal made the score 3-1. Gazi Kutsalan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of İdris Kelami's shot from short distance in the 45th minute. Gazi Kutsalan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from İdris Kelami in the 47th minute of play. If İdris Kelami had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

İdris Kelami might have been able to make a better finish in the 83rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gazi Kutsalan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. İdris Kelami ran back to his position shaking his head. Adnan Sancaktar's late challenge caught a Beşiktaş's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Adnan Sancaktar helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to geribas jk getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Adnan Sancaktar hit a great ball. After having played for 95 minutes, Halit Ziya Hanefi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Beşiktaş's supporters crossed their fingers, but Halit Ziya Hanefi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Many of Beşiktaş's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Beşiktaş may have spent more time on the ball, but geribas jk were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
