An unexpectedly hard shot by Yakup Ülkenur in the 17th minute of play forced Şanlıurfaspor's goalkeeper Necati Küdüs to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 17 played minutes Şanlıurfaspor got a freekick which was hit by Vefa Bedel. After having played for 18 minutes, Yakup Ülkenur managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. İyonyalılar's supporters crossed their fingers, but Yakup Ülkenur was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Necati Küdüs showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ceyhan Keskiner in the 20th minute of the match. When Yakup Ülkenur came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the İyonyalılar fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Yakup Ülkenur couldn't finish the play. Vefa Bedel was shown his second yellow card after 26 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Kılıçhan Orun succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 28th playminute. Ceyhan Keskiner received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Necati Küdüs tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Şanlıurfaspor's zone, Ceyhan Keskiner stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Necati Küdüs came out of the goal and Ceyhan Keskiner tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 46th minute, Kılıçhan Orun ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hakkı Devrim Ersezer was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

After a defensive mix-up in İyonyalılar's zone, Kılıçhan Orun stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hakkı Devrim Ersezer came out of the goal and Kılıçhan Orun tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Yakup Ülkenur sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Yakup Ülkenur had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kılıçhan Orun in the 73rd minute of play forced İyonyalılar's goalkeeper Hakkı Devrim Ersezer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 90thth minute of the game Ceyhan Keskiner who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Şanlıurfaspor's Necati Küdüs was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Yakup Ülkenur had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.
