But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abbas Akgüngör couldn't finish the play. Tarkan Ulusoy kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. In the 15thth minute of the game İsmail Orhun Sezginay who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cerkes's Nazım Oskay was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. İsmail Orhun Sezginay could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Nazım Oskay made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ahmet Asım Safvet got free with Nazım Oskay in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Sütcüler JK's zone, Ulu Bozkurt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vahdet Kantara came out of the goal and Ulu Bozkurt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 41st minute, Abbas Akgüngör got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Abbas Akgüngör's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nazım Oskay read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. Halit Fahri Ayıkoğlu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Vahdet Kantara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Abbas Akgüngör to make the kick off. Abbas Akgüngör recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Abbas Akgüngör managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sütcüler JK's supporters rose to their feet, but Abbas Akgüngör was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nazım Oskay breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mustafa Namık Özel during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 56 played minutes Cerkes got a freekick which was hit by Mustafa Namık Özel. Özgür Akalın took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 57th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Nazım Oskay. Cerkes's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line.
