Müjdat Özalp received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Korcan Günay tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kürşat Zekeriya spun around in front of the goal 25 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Kecierengücü's goal. Kecierengücü's Gürsel Kuntman got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kecierengücü's Süleyman Tayguner played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mutlu Özyuva in the 39th minute of play. In the 47th minute, Şahin Uralp hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Mehmet Edip Revnak's late challenge caught a Kecierengücü's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Müjdat Özalp in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Korcan Günay prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 93 minutes, Kürşat Zekeriya managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dikilitas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kürşat Zekeriya was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. During the 97th minute of the match Şahin Uralp completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Şahin Uralp a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Şahin Uralp hit a great freekick 98 minutes into the match. In the 101st minute, Sermet Nizami fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. For all the effort they put into the match, the Dikilitas players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Kecierengücü.
