Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) TRABZONSPOR's Ömer Soyuer started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 7 minutes Gerze's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Abdulbaki İslam who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Abdulbaki İslam almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Gerze's Namık Canalp did a great save. Adnan Ulubay succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 8th playminute. Mehmet Emrah İncesu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tekin Kavaş recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. TRABZONSPOR's Saltuk Nasrullah played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mehmet Emrah İncesu in the 21st minute of play. After having played for 22 minutes, Tekin Kavaş managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gerze's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tekin Kavaş was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mehmet Emrah İncesu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Merih Yağınalp hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. When Gerze's Mehmet Emrah İncesu in the 28th minute got a chance for a shot 28th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye TRABZONSPOR's goalie prevented a goal. Saltuk Nasrullah didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mehmet Emrah İncesu went, in the 29th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Gerze's Tekin Kavaş got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Bayezit Canalp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Saltuk Nasrullah showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tekin Kavaş in the 37th minute of the match. Songurbey İltekin hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Songurbey İltekin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 44 minutes into the game, Gerze's Songurbey İltekin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Saltuk Nasrullah made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. The TRABZONSPOR players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Gerze were winning 1-2.

In the 51st minute of the game, Tekin Kavaş landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. Abdulbaki İslam charged in rather forcefully in the 51st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Abdulbaki İslam the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, TRABZONSPOR's Abdulbaki İslam got a free kick in the 52nd minute. After having played for 53 minutes, Ferdi Sökmener managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gerze's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ferdi Sökmener was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 55th minute Mehmet Emrah İncesu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Saltuk Nasrullah saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Saltuk Nasrullah showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bayezit Canalp in the 57th minute of the match. When Mehmet Emrah İncesu in the 58th play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Saltuk Nasrullah kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 1-3 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. Bayezit Canalp sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 62 played minutes TRABZONSPOR got a freekick which was hit by Merih Yağınalp. When Mehmet Emrah İncesu came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Gerze fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mehmet Emrah İncesu couldn't finish the play. Songurbey İltekin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Saltuk Nasrullah tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind TRABZONSPOR's goalkeeper Saltuk Nasrullah, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. TRABZONSPOR were awarded a corner in the 73th minute after Gerze's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Abdulbaki İslam took the corner. TRABZONSPOR's Abdulbaki İslam was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Namık Canalp in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Namık Canalp showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ömer Soyuer, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. TRABZONSPOR's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Bayezit Canalp 76 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-4. Saltuk Nasrullah stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Songurbey İltekin's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. Ufuk Vahip received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Namık Canalp tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 86 minutes into the game, Ufuk Vahip was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. TRABZONSPOR's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gerze the free kick. Ufuk Vahip hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. 88 minutes into the match, Mehmet Emrah İncesu dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Saltuk Nasrullah, 1-5. Bayezit Canalp sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Songurbey İltekin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Mehmet Emrah İncesu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Saltuk Nasrullah tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gerze played a much better game than TRABZONSPOR and deserved their victory. The TRABZONSPOR players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
