The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ankaraspor's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Arnavutköy the free kick. A collision led to Ankaraspor getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Mehmet Bilge Erzincanlı hit a great ball. In the 16th minute, Ankaraspor's Selçuk Tüzün dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Yılmaz Kaya charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Yılmaz Kaya the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Arnavutköy's Yılmaz Kaya got a free kick in the 26th minute. The supporters of Ankaraspor booed when Arnavutköy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ahmet Kutsi Acabey didn't get a good kick on the ball. 31 minutes into the match, Ankaraspor's Erdeniz Hayırlı broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Mehmet Bilge Hürsoy struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Cengizhan Laçin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ankaraspor. Cengizhan Laçin was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Selçuk Tüzün showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 34 minute of play. A collision led to Ankaraspor getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Mehmet Bilge Erzincanlı hit a great ball. Ferdi Cebir showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gökhun Hikmet in the 41st minute of the match. If Selçuk Tüzün had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mehmet Bilge Hürsoy's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cengizhan Laçin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play. After 48 minutes of play, Arnavutköy's Cuma Şahoğlu made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ferdi Cebir was left in no man's land by his defense there! Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Selçuk Tüzün made the kick off in the second half. Ankaraspor's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Gökhun Hikmet 53 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-2. In the 60th minute, Selçuk Tüzün got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Ankaraspor booed when Arnavutköy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Atıf Soysaldı didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mehmet Bilge Hürsoy in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cengizhan Laçin saved Arnavutköy from getting behind. If Selçuk Tüzün had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arnavutköy's Cengizhan Laçin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mehmet Bilge Hürsoy in the 80th minute of play. Ferdi Cebir made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cuma Şahoğlu in the 82nd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Mehmet Bilge Hürsoy managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ankaraspor's supporters rose to their feet, but Mehmet Bilge Hürsoy was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cengizhan Laçin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 86th minute, Selçuk Tüzün ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cengizhan Laçin was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. After 91 played minutes Arnavutköy got a freekick which was hit by Yılmaz Kaya. Selçuk Tüzün scored 4-2 in the 95th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cengizhan Laçin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Ankaraspor fully deserved thier win.
