After 3 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for BEKTAŞOĞLU! Hilmi Ökkeş went to the wrong direction when İlker Kayıboylu was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. In the 6th minute, Vacid Özerol got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cuma Sarıcabay made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 9thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Hayrullah Gerdaneri would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. In the 9th minute, Hayri Kahraman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 13 minutes into the match, BEKTAŞOĞLU's goal looked a bit too open when İlker Kayıboylu came free, but Hilmi Ökkeş reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. İlker Kayıboylu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hilmi Ökkeş having to interfere. When Battal Hızlan fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored BEKTAŞOĞLU's protests and gave Battal Hızlan a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to BEKTAŞOĞLU getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Battal Hızlan hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers İlker Kayıboylu in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hilmi Ökkeş saved BEKTAŞOĞLU from getting behind. If Cuma Sarıcabay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 30 minutes, İlker Kayıboylu put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Hilmi Ökkeş. The audience was convinced that İlker Kayıboylu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hilmi Ökkeş was relentless in the 39th minute of the game. After 40 played minutes BEKTAŞOĞLU got a freekick which was hit by Battal Hızlan. 46 minutes into the match, İlker Kayıboylu notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of BEKTAŞOĞLU's Hilmi Ökkeş. Hilmi Ökkeş was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Batıray Arabacı recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. İlker Kayıboylu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hilmi Ökkeş was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ali Ömer Uçanay showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-4 in the 61 minute of play. Hilmi Ökkeş made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when İlker Kayıboylu sent off a good shot on target. 77 minutes into the match, İlker Kayıboylu notched a goal, 0-5, to the right of BEKTAŞOĞLU's Hilmi Ökkeş. Hilmi Ökkeş was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a defensive mix-up in BEKTAŞOĞLU's zone, Ali Ömer Uçanay stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hilmi Ökkeş came out of the goal and Ali Ömer Uçanay tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. BEKTAŞOĞLU's Hilmi Ökkeş played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bektaş Veli Kamuran in the 84th minute of play. After 85 minutes BEKTAŞOĞLU's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Namık Uluman who took care of the corner kick. Hilmi Ökkeş made an important save on a dangerous shot by İlker Kayıboylu in the 96th minute.
