The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A hard shot 9 in the game by Şensoy Saraç from a close distance when the talented Tamer Urgun managed to make a qualified save. Şaheser FC's players were relieved. After 11 minutes, Beyhan Çelikhan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Yedikule JK and the Şaheser FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Şensoy Saraç's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 13thth minute, Tamer Urgun skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Hasan Eraslan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Tamer Urgun tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 21 minutes into the match, Şaheser FC's goalkeeper Tamer Urgun had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Şensoy Saraç. Tamer Urgun made an important save on a dangerous shot by Şensoy Saraç in the 23rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Şaheser FC's zone, Hasan Eraslan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tamer Urgun came out of the goal and Hasan Eraslan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Şaheser FC booed when Yedikule JK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Şensoy Saraç didn't get a good kick on the ball. Yedikule JK's Hasan Eraslan got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 36th minute, Hasan Eraslan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 37th match minute, Yedikule JK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Şensoy Saraç to maneuver through the defense. Şaheser FC's Tamer Urgun proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save Şaheser FC from getting a goal against them. 41 minutes into the game, Yedikule JK's Şensoy Saraç nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tamer Urgun made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. 44 minutes into the game, Hami Kızıl was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Yedikule JK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Şaheser FC the free kick. In the 44th minute, Hami Kızıl hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hasan Eraslan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Hasan Eraslan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tamer Urgun having to interfere. Şensoy Saraç struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Tamer Urgun didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Yedikule JK. 55 minutes into the game, Haluk Tokgöz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Şaheser FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Yedikule JK the free kick. A collision led to Şaheser FC getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Haluk Tokgöz hit a great ball. Yedikule JK's Hasan Eraslan got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hüseyin Cahit Oylum showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Seyhun Hececi in the 68th minute of the match. In the 70th minute of the match Haluk Tokgöz shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hüseyin Cahit Oylum showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Tamer Urgun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Şensoy Saraç in the 71st minute of the match. Şaheser FC's Tamer Urgun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hasan Eraslan in the 77th minute of play. Tamer Urgun took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Şensoy Saraç, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 81 minutes into the match, Şensoy Saraç notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Şaheser FC's Tamer Urgun. Tamer Urgun was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind Şaheser FC's goalkeeper Tamer Urgun, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Hasan Eraslan took the ball and in the 87 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tamer Urgun. Tamer Urgun dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Hasan Eraslan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 97 minutes into the game, Ali Galip Çiftçioğlu recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Hüseyin Cahit Oylum. Ali Galip Çiftçioğlu showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-1. Yedikule JK's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
