The Altın Vuruş fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Onur Renan should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Altın Vuruş getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Ahmet İlhan Altun hit a great ball. Onur Renan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Görkem Öksal, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. After a rather tough play, Galatasaray's Görkem Öksal got a free kick in the 30th minute. Mustafa Orhan Yastıkcığlu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but İlker Taylak made a huge save. Altın Vuruş's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. After 42 played minutes Galatasaray got a freekick which was hit by Güneş Umay. Mustafa Orhan Yastıkcığlu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Coşkun Tunak received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Onur Renan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half Galatasaray were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Coşkun Tunak to strike the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Altın Vuruş's Onur Renan got control of the ball when Behzat Çetiner tried to sneak it across the goal line. In a very dangerous position, a player in Altın Vuruş fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 97th minute. Penalty! When the final whistle sounded Galatasaray left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Altın Vuruş.
