The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Altan Cihannur who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 32ndth minute tested the skills of Baskın Taif when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 38 minutes into the game, MELMİN FC's İlbey Arslanoğlu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hurşit Tümerkin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Dorukhan Sefaaddin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baskın Taif having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in MELMİN FC's zone, Dorukhan Sefaaddin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nuralp Bucuk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Baskın Taif tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Sürmenespor players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. MELMİN FC were winning 0-2.

In the 55th minute Sürmenespor were awarded a corner. Haldun Özil went to the cornerflag to take it. Altan Cihannur sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to MELMİN FC getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Rıza Tavgaç hit a great ball. In the 62nd minute, Mansur Resai reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Hurşit Tümerkin. The goal made the score 0-3. The supporters of MELMİN FC booed when Sürmenespor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ahmet Haşim Geylani didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hurşit Tümerkin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mansur Resai, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. When Sürmenespor's Dorukhan Sefaaddin in the 95th minute got a chance for a shot 95th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. MELMİN FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
