Safranbolu's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Üsküdar the free kick. A collision led to Safranbolu getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Ahmet Hafiz Ünverdi's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 26thth minute, Kudret Kutalmış skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After 28 played minutes Safranbolu got a freekick which was hit by Baha Yıldızhan. 32 minutes into the match, Safranbolu's goal looked a bit too open when Erkin Kutsel came free, but Kudret Kutalmış reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kudret Kutalmış took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erkin Kutsel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Üsküdar's Atıf Uygur played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dan Horațiu in the 35th minute of play. 45 minutes into the match, Üsküdar's goal looked a bit too open when Dinçer Kocak came free, but Atıf Uygur reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

In the 53rd minute, Şaban Açıkalın hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Atıf Uygur made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emrah Yatuk in the 56th minute of play. Ahmet Hafiz Ünverdi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kudret Kutalmış read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. Safranbolu's Kudret Kutalmış tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 74 minutes into the match, Üsküdar's goalkeeper Atıf Uygur had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dan Horațiu. Kudret Kutalmış showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erkin Kutsel in the 78th minute of the match. 80 minutes into the match, Safranbolu's goal looked a bit too open when Erkin Kutsel came free, but Kudret Kutalmış reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 82 minutes into the match, Erkin Kutsel notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Safranbolu's Kudret Kutalmış. Kudret Kutalmış was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With an all-out effort, Safranbolu's Atıf Uygur threw himself towards the right post 87 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Emrah Yatuk, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After a rather tough play, Safranbolu's Müfit Yalınalp got a free kick in the 89th minute. 92 minutes into the match, Üsküdar's goal looked a bit too open when Baha Yıldızhan came free, but Atıf Uygur reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Güven Enginalp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 95th match minute, Safranbolu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Baha Yıldızhan to maneuver through the defense. Erkin Kutsel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Üsküdar players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
