In the 6th minute Nuh Heper shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Demir Tanberk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Şener Kutsalmis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pekin Kutcan in the 10th minute of the match. Nuh Heper hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Gerger's Şener Kutsalmis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Feyyaz Başkaya in the 19th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cengizhan Alpman during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Gerger getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Cengizhan Alpman hit a great ball. With his leg Demir Tanberk managed to avoid a goal in the 24thth minute, when Gerger's Aytuğ Kocaman fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 25th minute, Cengizhan Alpman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Feyyaz Başkaya in the 28th minute of play forced Gerger's goalkeeper Şener Kutsalmis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Şener Kutsalmis didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Feyyaz Başkaya went, in the 32nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, Beşiktaş's Ejder Tokel got a free kick in the 45th minute. Aytuğ Kocaman struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Demir Tanberk didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gerger.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Aytuğ Kocaman was the one to do the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tayyip Erengüç during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Gerger getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Tayyip Erengüç hit a great ball. 55 minutes into the match, Gerger's goalkeeper Şener Kutsalmis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arman Erengüç. An unexpectedly hard shot by Feyyaz Başkaya in the 56th minute of play forced Gerger's goalkeeper Şener Kutsalmis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aytuğ Kocaman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The supporters of Gerger booed when Beşiktaş was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pekin Kutcan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Şener Kutsalmis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pekin Kutcan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Şener Kutsalmis was a little too slow when Feyyaz Başkaya got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 80th minute. The score was now 2-5. An unexpectedly hard shot by Feyyaz Başkaya in the 85th minute of play forced Gerger's goalkeeper Şener Kutsalmis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Feyyaz Başkaya kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Şener Kutsalmis. That made the score 2-6 in the 87 minute of play. Mert Acunalp hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. A collision led to Beşiktaş getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. İnanç Rasif hit a great ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Beşiktaş walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
