The Sparta FK fans' excitement grew in the 6th match minute when Sparta FK's Göksel Savni looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. A collision led to mersin getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Tolgahan Nizami hit a great ball. Sparta FK's Abdurrahman Turaç got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Sparta FK booed when mersin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tolgahan Nizami didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mazhar Akdeniz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abdurrahman Turaç in the 22nd minute of the match. In the 23rd minute Tolgahan Nizami shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pekin Kartekin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 27 played minutes Sparta FK got a freekick which was hit by Ahmet Oğuz Özen. mersin's Ecevit Sulhi got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Abdurrahman Turaç came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Sparta FK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abdurrahman Turaç couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Sparta FK's Ahmet Kağan Karluk got a free kick in the 37th minute. Mazhar Akdeniz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abdurrahman Turaç, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Gafur Atlıhan kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The wind increased when Ecevit Sulhi made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Göksel Savni shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mazhar Akdeniz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mazhar Akdeniz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Göksel Savni, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Suphi Murtaza in the 66th minute of play forced Sparta FK's goalkeeper Pekin Kartekin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pekin Kartekin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Suphi Murtaza, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. A collision led to mersin getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Gafur Atlıhan hit a great ball.
