In the 26th minute Recai Onaran shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erdem Taştan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Erdem Taştan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Semih Albay in the 28th minute of play. Taner Onsoy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bumin Aytolun, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. 31 minutes into the match, Samsun JK's goal looked a bit too open when Semih Albay came free, but Erdem Taştan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vacib Başarman in the 33rd minute of play forced Samsun JK's goalkeeper Erdem Taştan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Battal Gazi Ökten came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Samsun JK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Battal Gazi Ökten couldn't finish the play. In the 46th match minute, Samsun JK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Korcan Çinucen to maneuver through the defense. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Recai Onaran recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kocak FK's Taner Onsoy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Battal Gazi Ökten in the 55th minute of play. Bumin Aytolun's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Taner Onsoy read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. Erdem Taştan was out of position in the 58 minute of play, and Recai Onaran capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Recai Onaran really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. After 61 played minutes Kocak FK got a freekick which was hit by Görkem Ispartalı. When Bumin Aytolun came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Samsun JK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bumin Aytolun couldn't finish the play. Görkem Ispartalı kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match.
