The Ciftlikköy fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Güngör Emek should have stopped the shot. Ahmet Kadri Rasih took the ball and in the 11 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Güngör Emek. Güngör Emek dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. In the 15th minute of the match, kaya Başhekim tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Güngör Emek saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. If Edvaldo Lago had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Güngör Emek made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ahmet Kadri Rasih in the 20th minute. In the 24th minute, Ahmet Kadri Rasih fired away a shot that was totally unreachable for Güngör Emek. The ball ended up just outside the left post, and istanbul's manager could be seen angrily pacing the sidelines. Through an outstanding action, after 25 minutes, Güngör Emek successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Güngör Emek took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edvaldo Lago, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 34th minute, Ahmet Kadri Rasih had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. 34 minutes into the game, Yavuz Selim Renan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ciftlikköy's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave istanbul the free kick. istanbul's Tahir Habiboğlu was substituted for Ahmet Kadri Rasih. After 35 played minutes Ciftlikköy got a freekick which was hit by Yavuz Selim Renan. 38 minutes into the game, Tayyar Suat cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Güngör Emek was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Akay Muhlis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sabit Safir having to interfere. If Edvaldo Lago had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

Tahir Habiboğlu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 54 minutes into the match, Edvaldo Lago had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Güngör Emek. Ciftlikköy's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edvaldo Lago was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Yavuz Selim Renan kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Güngör Emek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tahir Habiboğlu in the 61st minute of play. 62 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ciftlikköy's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. kaya Başhekim was slow to take the kick. During this time istanbul's players had a chance to rest. istanbul's kaya Başhekim was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Güngör Emek in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After 66 minutes, Edvaldo Lago made it 5-0 with a short kick to the right side. Ciftlikköy's Güngör Emek tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 72nd minute, kaya Başhekim left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The istanbul fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. In the 75th minute, Akay Muhlis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Güngör Emek showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tahir Habiboğlu, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. 81 minutes into the game, Tahir Habiboğlu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-0. Güngör Emek was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. istanbul fully deserved thier win.
