The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 11 minutes into the game, Sinop's Yavuz Selimhan Adıgün nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mustafa Ali Özerek made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 14th minute Ahmet Seyfi Yalvaç shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mustafa Ali Özerek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Karşıyaka Kuzey Cephesi defense, Ahmet Seyfi Yalvaç kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mustafa Ali Özerek. The Karşıyaka Kuzey Cephesi fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mustafa Ali Özerek should have stopped the shot. In the 20th minute, Karşıyaka Kuzey Cephesi's Tuncay Yürüker dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. Ahmet Seyfi Yalvaç fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mustafa Ali Özerek having to interfere. An unexpected shot in the 26th minute by Göktan Özbilir got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 37th match minute, Karşıyaka Kuzey Cephesi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mithat Tuyuğ to maneuver through the defense. After 42 played minutes Tuncay Yürüker rounded Sinop's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 3-2. If Tuncay Yürüker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-2 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ahmet Seyfi Yalvaç made a kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tuncay Yürüker during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a defensive mix-up in Karşıyaka Kuzey Cephesi's zone, Yavuz Selimhan Adıgün stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mustafa Ali Özerek came out of the goal and Yavuz Selimhan Adıgün tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Karşıyaka Kuzey Cephesi's Oğuzkan Baytekin got a free kick in the 54th minute. Yavuz Selimhan Adıgün came free with the goalkeeper in the 58th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Mustafa Ali Özerek could save by the left post. Tekin Hisarcık took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Göktan Özbilir, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Saadettin Uçur could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Mustafa Ali Özerek made a huge save. If Ahmet Seyfi Yalvaç had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Yavuz Selimhan Adıgün sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sinop's Tekin Hisarcık played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tuncay Yürüker in the 77th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Sinop's Hasret Artuç got a free kick in the 77th minute. When Karşıyaka Kuzey Cephesi's Tuncay Yürüker in the 79th minute got a chance for a shot 79th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Ahmet Seyfi Yalvaç managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sinop's supporters rose to their feet, but Ahmet Seyfi Yalvaç was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mustafa Ali Özerek breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Yavuz Selimhan Adıgün sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. During the 93rd minute of the match Tuncay Yürüker completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Tuncay Yürüker a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. For all the effort they put into the match, the Sinop players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Karşıyaka Kuzey Cephesi.
