After a defensive mix-up in Baykan's zone, Şakir Orkut stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alonzo Atauri came out of the goal and Şakir Orkut tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lizer Pineros's late challenge caught a Diyarbakirspor's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lizer Pineros helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Baykan's Lizer Pineros got a free kick in the 11th minute. In the 14th minute Hamdi Patlar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alonzo Atauri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Egemen Gümüşcüoğlu came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by Baykan's Remco Dolfing. But to his dismay, Remco Dolfing quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Alonzo Atauri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aktan Özol, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Egemen Gümüşcüoğlu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lizer Pineros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 44 minutes into the match, Baykan's goalkeeper Alonzo Atauri had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hacı Ali Civanbaht. Lizer Pineros might have been able to make a better finish in the 46th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Egemen Gümüşcüoğlu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lizer Pineros ran back to his position shaking his head.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Aktan Özol to make the kick off. After 52 minutes, Şentürk Salcan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Diyarbakirspor and the Baykan players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 51st minute, one of Diyarbakirspor:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Diyarbakirspor. The goalkeeper, Egemen Gümüşcüoğlu, was totally fooled by Baykan's Ali Cengiz Güdü, who 53 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mücahit Sidal during the 57th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Mücahit Sidal kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Yavuz Selimhan Togay came free in the 59th minute and tried to tip the ball over Alonzo Atauri, but to the joy of Baykan's supporters the ball hit the crossbar and out. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hamdi Patlar in the 61st minute of play forced Baykan's goalkeeper Alonzo Atauri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 69 played minutes Baykan got a freekick which was hit by Faruk Huzur. After 70 played minutes Baykan got a freekick which was hit by Arcan Derman. After some careless play in the Baykan defense, Hacı Ali Civanbaht kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alonzo Atauri. The Baykan fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alonzo Atauri should have stopped the shot. After 74 played minutes Diyarbakirspor got a freekick which was hit by Mustafa Oğuz Eroğul. In the 78th match minute, Diyarbakirspor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hamdi Patlar to maneuver through the defense. Aktan Özol scored 2-2 in the 81st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alonzo Atauri, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Arcan Derman kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Baykan's Alonzo Atauri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hacı Ali Civanbaht in the 87th minute of play. In the 91st minute, Aktan Özol ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alonzo Atauri was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. The supporters of Baykan booed when Diyarbakirspor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yavuz Selimhan Togay didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Lizer Pineros kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Egemen Gümüşcüoğlu. That made the score 3-3 in the 98 minute of play.
