The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. İhsan Sehriyar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 8 minutes into the match, İhsan Sehriyar dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Volker Gartler, 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in Elbeyli SK's zone, Nazmi Kortan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Volker Gartler came out of the goal and Nazmi Kortan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Volker Gartler made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nazmi Kortan in the 14th minute. In the 15th minute, BÜYÜK ERZURUMSPOR's İhsan Sehriyar ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Volker Gartler. Volker Gartler yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. 20 minutes into the match, Aslak Hol dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Volker Gartler, 3-0. When Tayyip Sakman fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Elbeyli SK's protests and gave Tayyip Sakman a yellow card for diving instead. The crowd rose to their feet as İhsan Sehriyar kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Volker Gartler. That made the score 4-0 in the 25 minute of play. Volker Gartler came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by BÜYÜK ERZURUMSPOR's Nazmi Kortan. But to his dismay, Nazmi Kortan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. Volker Gartler showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aslak Hol in the 33rd minute of the match. In the 34th minute, Nazmi Kortan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, Elbeyli SK's Volker Gartler got control of the ball when Aslak Hol tried to sneak it across the goal line. Volker Gartler took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from İhsan Sehriyar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aslak Hol received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Volker Gartler came out and tried to block the shot, but Aslak Hol slotted it home off the left post making it 6-0 in the 42nd minute. Eusebiu Sima hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. BÜYÜK ERZURUMSPOR's Arkadiusz Mala played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ahmet Ali Şirvan in the 47th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 6-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mehmet Edip Yura made a kick off. Nazmi Kortan scored 7-0 in the 53rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Volker Gartler, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. İhsan Sehriyar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Volker Gartler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. İhsan Sehriyar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Volker Gartler having to interfere. Volker Gartler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aslak Hol in the 62nd minute of play. Volker Gartler showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from İhsan Sehriyar, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. During the 64th minute of the match Tayyip Sakman completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Tayyip Sakman a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 64 played minutes Elbeyli SK got a freekick which was hit by Tayyip Sakman. Hakkı Semdin kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. In the 67th minute, Aslak Hol ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Volker Gartler was frozen by the shot and now it was 8-0. Volker Gartler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from İhsan Sehriyar in the 70th minute of play. Volker Gartler took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aslak Hol, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Arkadiusz Mala made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mehmet Edip Yura in the 73rd minute of play. 75 minutes into the game, İhsan Sehriyar cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 9-0. Volker Gartler was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Volker Gartler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from İhsan Sehriyar in the 79th minute of play. After 84 played minutes Elbeyli SK got a freekick which was hit by Ahmet Ali Şirvan. In the 86th minute of the match BÜYÜK ERZURUMSPOR got a corner. Elbeyli SK's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Nazmi Kortan ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 89th minute, İhsan Sehriyar ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Volker Gartler was frozen by the shot and now it was 11-0. 92 minutes into the match, Aslak Hol notched a goal, 12-0, to the right of Elbeyli SK's Volker Gartler. Volker Gartler was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of BÜYÜK ERZURUMSPOR booed when Elbeyli SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hakkı Semdin didn't get a good kick on the ball.
