The supporters of Elbeyli SK booed when SEFA FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Batı Ümit didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 30th minute Ahmet Ali Şirvan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nafiz Tanyeri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nafiz Tanyeri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mehmet Edip Yura, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Ali Hamza Sertaç lost his temper 35 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mehmet Edip Yura stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Mehmet Edip Yura struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Nafiz Tanyeri didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Elbeyli SK. After 86 played minutes, SEFA FK's Batı Ümit shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Volker Gartler came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in SEFA FK reached it. Volker Gartler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ferman Çırak in the 90th minute of play. Elbeyli SK's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because SEFA FK had won, even though Elbeyli SK had held more of the ball.
